During a scoped task the agent wanders and edits files far outside the intended directory. A freeze boundary keeps writes inside the area you actually authorized.

Install

  1. 1Manual install

    Copy the hook file from the repository into ~/.claude/hooks/<name>.sh. The filename must match the hook name (e.g. protected-path-freeze.md).

  2. 2Verify

    /agents, /commands or /hooks in Claude Code

    Restart Claude Code and list your installed components to confirm it was picked up.
